Lead Strategy and Operations Officer

Ekaterina Mikhaylova is a Lead Strategy and Operations Officer with the Extractives Unit of the World Bank’s Energy and Extractives Global Practice. She has 20 years of experience with the Bank. She led a variety of mining and petroleum technical assistance projects in Africa and Asia and is managing the Unit’s portfolio and strategy. Prior to Extractives, she worked on Industrial Technology and Science and Technology projects in the Balkans. Ekaterina led the Bank’s Mozambique mining and gas sector program since 2010. Before the World Bank, she worked in a Russian commercial bank in investment and project finance.
