Martin Hutchison is an independent consultant supplying strategic support to the global energy industry. He has over 40 years of international oil and gas industry leadership experience in technical, commercial and senior executive roles, encompassing Upstream and LNG across Europe, North and South America, Middle East and West Africa. He served on the boards of the Venezuelan American Chamber of Commerce and the Ameriven heavy oil project, and later as the Managing Director and executive board member for Brass LNG Ltd, Nigeria. Martin is a lecturer in several CWC professional development courses and a regular chairman and Co-Chairman of CWC conferences.

Omar Mithá was born in Mozambique in 1967, he holds degree in Economics from Eduardo Mondlane University (1992, Mozambique) and Post-Graduate Degree in Management from ISCTE (2005, Portugal).

He  holds the position of CEO/Chairman of ENH, the NOC from the Republic of Mozambique, since August 2015. He is also Chairman of ENH Logistics and Non-Executive Board Member of Matola Gas Company (MGC) and Portos de Cabo Delgado (PCD). Until August 2015 was the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade. Before joining the Government, from 2008 to 2013 he was the former Chief-Economist and in charge of the Investment Banking of Millennium BIM dealing with credit for large projects, advisory, project finance and research. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2007 was an Investment Officer at the IFC office in Maputo. Between 2000 and 2005 he was working as a consultant to the World Bank on behalf of International Development Ireland to develop SME´s through a matching grant scheme for technology transfer. Previously he worked for Ernst & Young as a consultant, and was the Manager and Advisor of several companies between 1992 and 1996. He has been a lecturer at the local university for a couple of years.

Carlos Zacarias

Mr Carlos Zacarias completed a Master in Petroleum Geology, in 1992, at the Petrochemical Superior Institute of Baku, (Ex-USSR), currently Republic of Azerbaijan. In 1995, he joined the Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy, and the Nacional Department for Coal and Hydrocarbons where he held various roles; namely supervising the exploration and production activities that led to the discoveries of resources in Inhassouro and the Njika Field. Aditionally he was member of the Interministerial Comitee for the Implementation of the Project of Natural Gas in Pande and Temane. In 2005, he was appointed Administrator of the Department of Projects and Development of the National Petroleum Insitute (INP), having contributed to the ellaboration of the proposal for the Regulation of Licensing of oil infrastructure and monitoring condensed natural gas production and transportation. In the year 2008, he was nominated Administrator of the Department of Exploration of INP where he oversaw different areas as Member of the Board, namely supervising the exploration activities which led to the discovery of soft oil in Inhassouro and gas in the Njika field, and also, the discovery of the gas fields in Rovuma, as well as their appraisal. Currently he is the President of the Board of INP, nominated in August 2015, leading the negotiations in concession contracts of exploration in place in the Basins of Mozambique and Rovuma, as well as regulating and monitoring the activities of exploration and production of natural gas in Mozambique.

Adriano Mongini has been Executive Vice President for the East Africa Region at ENI since September 2019.  From October 2017 to September 2019 he was in charge of the Upstream Procurement Services & Industrial Analysis.  In December 2012, he became Senior Vice President of the North Africa and Middle East region and then in 2014 Executive Vice President for North Africa.  In 2016 he was also appointed General Manager of IEOC again.  After a period as General Manager of Eni Iran B.V., in January 2009, he was appointed Managing Director of IEOC, the eni company in Egypt, where he was in charge of all the Eni activities in the country.

Arnaud has 10 year experience in EPCI deepwater challenging projects. His expertise focuses on flexible risers and flowlines and deepwater riser systems. Arnaud now works in the Subsea 7 Field Development Group in Paris, which performs field optimization studies for Operators, to support them in making their subsea developments viable and with maximized value, with integration of cost effective new technologies.

Matthew Russell

Matthew T. Russell is currently Executive Vice President, LNG - responsible for Siemens global LNG portfolio inclusive of project execution, business development, strategy, finance, and commercial.  Prior to this role, Russell served as Vice President – Gas to Power where he was responsible for the strategy, business development, and captive finance aspects of the LNG portfolio.  Mr. Russell joined Siemens in 2017 following a 10 year career at KBR. 

Upon his departure from KBR, Mr. Russell was leading business development for KBR’s LNG Business, responsible for new business acquisition and commercial activities associated with KBR’s LNG business.  He assumed this position in May 2015 after returning from London where he served as KBR’s Head of business development for the Europe, Africa, and Middle East Downstream Market.

Uwem Ukpong is Chief Global Operations Officer of Baker Hughes. Ukpong is an industry veteran with oil industry experience spanning
four continents and previous technical experience as a petrophysicist and reservoir engineer.

Formerly the Vice President of Baker Hughes Integration at GE Oil & Gas, Uwem has led integration planning and previously oversaw all
product lines, systems, and global operations of the GE Oil & Gas Surface business unit.

Ukpong started his career in Nigeria as a petrophysicist with Schlumberger in 1993, where he held several executive roles
including Human Resources Director for Schlumberger Corporate; Vice President and Regional Manager of Software Integrated
Solutions in Latin America; and General Manager of Schlumberger Oilfield Services in Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Ivory Coast and
Ghana.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science and a master’s degree in petroleum engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, United Kingdom.

Natalia is currently the Director of Supervision and Safety Director at National Petroleum Institute, and she is a Chemical Engineer and holds a Master Degree in Project Management of Oil & Gas Industries with specialization in Economics of Oil, Gas and Energy.

She was involved in elaboration of documents related with Gas Development such as Mozambique Gas Master Plan, Tariff Methodology for the piped-gas industry in Republic of Mozambique, Strategy for Market Development and others related with the Projects and development of gas in Mozambique.

Natalia was involved, at the incipient phase of Mozambique LNG Project, as Engineering Technical Assistant, with a general-purpose position aiding all the Delivery Groups , HSE Lead on Project Safety Case and help the interface management of various project contractors also follow-up communications Liaison with Government Regulatory groups within Mozambique.

She acted after as Advisory of Environmental Impact Assessment team in the Mozambique LNG Project , leading  with issues associated with EIA and Resettlement Action Plan, and guide the team with information necessary to meet the Mozambique Government and local communities’ needs.

Natalia is also a lecture of Petroleum Geopolitics& Ethics in the Oil &Gas Business MBA at ISCTEM (Higher Institute of Science and Technology of Mozambique).”

Claire Mateus Filipe Correia Zimba was born in Maputo, 1976. Dr. Claire Zimba holds a Post Graduate Degree in Corporate Governance and Oil and Gas at the Instituto Superior de Ciência e Tecnologias de Moçambique and a Degree in Law at the Eduardo Mondlane University. In the year 2007 to the year 2010, Dr. Claire Zimba was the National Director of Made in Mozambique Brand Unit; 2010 – 2011 the National Director of Private Sector Support Unit. 2011 – 2012 he was the Advisor of the Minister and in the year 2012 till present, Dr. Claire Zimba is the Executive Director of IPEME.

A mechanical engineer, Nicolas has commenced his career in TechnipFMC within the onshore division as a field engineer on the construction site of a pesticide production facility in China.

In his 18 years within the company he has been across all segments of activities of the Group, onshore, offshore, and subsea. Involved in key positions within projects and country organizations, Nicolas has had opportunities to execute large projects in various countries, such as Vietnam (refinery), Brazil (semi-submersible platforms) or again Angola (subsea field development).

Since 2016, Nicolas is the country manager of TechnipFMC in Mozambique, recently awarded the huge integrated Coral South FLNG project, including installation of subsea production equipment, development of the entire seabed and construction and installation of the gas liquefaction platform offshore.

Sérgio Dique started his professional career in 2000 as a buyer for a construction company, where he contributed widely within the company in structuring the import procedures as well as transport policies. He then joined one of the world’s biggest consultancy firms, KPMG Peat Marwick in Maputo, and joined Fernandes & Associates in RSA, as a consultant where after 6 months he decided to start his own business. Sérgio was sworn in as an official translator and registered his Accounting and Consulting firm, S.J.D Consultores in 2003 and after 4 years, registered an insurance agency, representing Hollard Insurance in central Mozambique. In 2012, he saw the need for growth and registered his insurance brokerage firm, Confiança Corretora de Seguros, Lda. With success from those ventures he established a transport firm, E.G.S Transportes, a medical practice, Consultório Médico Esperança and bought shares in another medical practice, Centro de Saúde Privada Boa Vida, Lda, where he is majority shareholder and managing director. In 2015, he completed his law degree from the Universidade Católica de Moçambique, where he furthered his knowledge in law. His SMEs employ just under 100 people and are projected to double in size in the next 2 years.

Graduated from Universidade Eduardo Mondlane in Law (2004). Started on the oil and gas Sector as a lawyer at INP in 2005, when INP was created. Since the beginning she was involved on the elaboration of the oil and gas legal frame work in Mozambique, and the elaboration and negotiation of concession contracts, where huge discoveries of gas were made.

In 2014 she was appointed as the coordinator, responsible for the legal Department at INP, responsible for looking through the entire legal and regulatory framework of the upstream at INP. She was involved on the elaboration of laws and documents necessary for the implementation of the LNG Rovuma Basin Projects, such as Petroleum Law, Decree-Law, Regulations, and fiscal regime for the oil and gas sector, Development Plans.

In 2017 she was appointed as the legal adviser to the Board at INP. Since then she is deeply involved on advising the INP Board on the different legal matters, especially the ones related to the LNG Rovuma Basin Project, and Concession contracts licensing.

Charles Nyirahuku

Mr. Charles NYIRAHUKU has over 16 years’ strategic and operational experience in the petroleum sector across the East African region and beyond, especially in policy formulation, natural gas exploration and production and business transactions. Charles is currently working with the African Natural Resources Center, a non-lending entity of the African Development Bank as the Chief Gas Regulatory Officer. He focusses on supporting emerging gas producers in Africa to enhance the regulatory environment in the natural gas sector and build capacity for better resource planning and management. Prior to joining the Africa Development Bank, as a the Head of Petroleum and Gas Unit  at the Rwandan Ministry of Energy, he coordinated the development process and monetization of the unique Lake Kivu Gas resource and pioneered the petroleum exploration program in Rwanda. He is a holder of a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Trinidad and Tobago and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lubumbashi, in Democratic Republic of Congo.
